Kelly, great to know more of your work. We moved to New Orleans a couple years ago, then settled in mandeville. Tho we both grew up in central and north Louisiana we hadn’t lived in Louisiana for more than 20 years and had no desire to move back but we are here because our of family needs.

I love reading your work on women in the church and your series on Mary. And your book recommendations. It’s great to know more about your personal journey.

Janet, thanks for your note. Always good to have some fellow Louisiana natives in here! And I'm so glad you are enjoying the content on women in the church. Mary...whew... she and I are going to be tight for the next year or two while I research and write my paper. Ha!

How interesting: I too, within my immediate family, have an LSU (parents), DTS (siblings & father), and even Interstate Batteries (sister) connection! I’ll bet you’ve missed that good Louisiana food all these years since leaving baton rouge. Thanks for sharing your story and an overview of your books!

Wonderful titles! I certainly didn't know about your publishing history, so it's great to find out about these books. I just discovered the 40 Questions series, and it looks wonderful. You're filling up my already crowded bookshelves! :)

I purchased a few of the books you recommended earlier, on your wonderful post about biblical backgrounds. That Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible is quite something. Thanks for offering great ways to curb my ignorance :)

Federico, you might want to increase your book budget if you keep reading my stuff, LOL. I'm all about the books. Glad the study Bible has been helpful...it's so good!

I decided to give myself a fixed budget to keep me from falling for so many wonderful and inspiring titles out there! :) Looking forward to all those great recommendations you keep sharing. Thanks so much.

P.S. I went to churches with women pastors for years (in Puerto Rico). I hadn't realized how far-reaching the dialogue about women in church leadership was. (Last night, I read the short essay on women church leaders in the CSD Apologetics Study Bible; in general, some of those CSB study Bibles have very thought-provoking short essays in them, such as those in the Life Counsel Bible.)
